Blog owners usually use RSS feeds, and these allow people to be notified whenever you post another entry. It's not hard to get new subscribers, because you can usually get all your readers to subscribe. But what can tough is retaining them and bringing down the un-subscription rate. You should always focus on providing your subscribers with the best value so that they have a reason to stick around. The following article is going to show you how to keep your RSS subscribers once they sign up.

Your blog or site visitors need to be shown consistency with you and the feel and appearance of your site. If you want them to stay subscribed to your RSS feed, you will have to keep your blog's design consistent. Yes, changing the template too often can result in people un-subscribing because as harsh as it may sound, nobody likes frequent changes. This could especially become an issue if your site is several years old or more. The bottom line with this is obviously it's your site, and you can do what you want; just be sure to bear this point in mind before you make radical changes, etc.

Try your best to keep from including affiliate links in your blog posts as you will just make people think that you're only interested in making money from your subscribers and you don't care about giving them good content. When you put too many affiliate links in your postings, you will see people drop off your RSS feed like flies.

When you do write content, always stick to the party line which means do not deviate from your niche market topic. You could get away with it once in a great while if your name is strong and people know you due to exposure. We doubt you'll do anything way off base, but just avoid the topics that could possibly just be for fun, etc. You have to keep your mind focused on writing on your niche so that your subscribers are satisfied. Always continue learning about your target audience, or market, because the more you know them the better equipped you'll be to provide high quality. You do want to be an expert in your niche market, and the more you continue to learn about them then you will become an expert. You can go overboard with things on your site, so always be careful not to cause confusion or you may have trouble with getting RSS subscribers. Your ability to continue offering helpful and useful content will reflect in your RSS subscriber numbers. There is a learning curve with everything, and things take time to fully implement. If you take the time to put good effort into this plan, then you'll be able to produce more RSS subscribers plus be able to keep them.
